Judith M. Ruiz graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from New York University in June 1987. Although she had gotten various employment offers from the Big 8 Accounting Firms (presently Big 4), she accepted to work as a junior accountant/auditor for KPMG Peat Marwick in July 1987. Although she worked in their Small Business Division for about 2 years, she realized quickly that she felt lost in such a big company and wanted to have hands on with small businesses. Therefore, she was recommended by an audit senior manager from KPMG to join a client called Oriental Pacific (USA), Inc., as the chief accountant. When Oriental Pacific was closing in 1993 (after 4 years of being employed there), Ms. Ruiz knew that this was her chance to work her business full time and independently provide advisory services to small businesses.

Since 12/1991, Ms. Ruiz has been providing high quality computerized accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services for Proprietorships, Partnerships, Corporations, other legal entities, and individuals. In addition, she offers consultation services ranging from the establishment of new companies to advising existing ones.

In July 1995, Ms. Ruiz was married to her husband. Within their 13 years of marriage, they had 2 children, a son and a daughter. Not only has she been able to manage a business, and take care of her family, but she also makes time to pursue her interest in investing/managing real estate and is very active in her church.

In 2002, she incorporated and became the President of JMRuiz Corp. She has added associates to her team where they are professional accountants/bookkeepers providing bookkeeping services to handle your day-in and day-out financial record keeping, at a fraction of the cost of CPAs. Because of their experience, you will not get a low-end bookkeeper that just does data entry. They analyze all entries and work closely with your tax accountant who specializes in filing your taxes and in preparing financial reports.

In August 2005, she joined LeTip Murray Hill, a professional networking organization, and 3 months later, was asked to be the treasurer of the group. She was a member and treasurer for 3 years.

With Ms. Ruiz determination, strong work ethic, and her attention to detail, she will continue to grow her business and will strive to have more than one location in the near future.
