Miho Nobuzane hails from Osaka, Japan and began study on classical piano at YAMAHA at the age of 4. She graduated from"Kobe Yamate Woman's Junior College"as a classical piano major. After graduation, she was inspired by Jazz, studying and soon performing in clubs throughout Japan. Now several years later you can find her in major New York City venues and touring the world.
On March.2007, Miho produced her debut album MAKE YOU HAPPY: Super grooving Brazilian Jazz for making everyone happy! Jazz Improv magazine's March 2008 issue reviewed her CD, with jazz critic Clive Griffin writing: "MAKE YOU HAPPY is an impressive release, in which Nobuzane deftly demonstrates well-horned skills as a pianist, composer, and arranger. No doubt she would be a powerful contributor as soloist and accompanist in almost any situation. With the wealth of well-crafted music on this album... the door has been opened ... we can look optimistically toward the abundance of music yet to come from Miho Nobuzane." In the same issue, her upcoming Blue Note show was also selected by the magazine as the noteworthy performance of the month.
